can't go out on a sunday... so while i'm stuck, i tried cooking putanesca for lunch (result: not so good :c -hope i can figure out a fix before diner)
- 14oz can of diced tomatoes
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 5 fillets of anchovy (oil included)
- 8 cloves of garlic (chopped)
- 3 tbs sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup sliced button mushrooms
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbs capers (slice half of the capers leave the rest whole)
- pasta
- parmesan cheese
cook the garlic and anchovies in oil (crush the anchovies into fine flakes). add the rest of the ingredients and allow to simmer for 30mins. serve over pasta and add parmesan cheese as needed. serves 3-4 persons.
