-Mike dove for coins (hindi talaga ako nadapa! there really were coins sa floor and akala ko uunahan ako ni Glenn)

A Special Zoo Tour for Blinds Kids

today i was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to give a special tour for special kids at the zoo. Thanks to Sir John, Ma'am Bernie, Ma'am Linda and the rest of the organizers for making this lovely project possible.

this morning, i was lia and carol's tour guide... i hope they had a memorable day at the zoo -it certainly was for me.

Putanesca Sunday

can't go out on a sunday... so while i'm stuck, i tried cooking putanesca for lunch (result: not so good :c -hope i can figure out a fix before diner)

• 14oz can of diced tomatoes
• 1/3 cup olive oil
• 5 fillets of anchovy (oil included)
• 8 cloves of garlic (chopped)
• 3 tbs sliced black olives
• 1/4 cup sliced button mushrooms
• 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
• 1 tbs capers (slice half of the capers leave the rest whole)
• pasta
• parmesan cheese

cook the garlic and anchovies in oil (crush the anchovies into fine flakes). add the rest of the ingredients and allow to simmer for 30mins. serve over pasta and add parmesan cheese as needed. serves 3-4 persons.

Fire at Leveriza

a fire broke out at the residential area behind DLSU today. about four to six houses burned fortunately it looks like no one got hurt. Some images taken from our office window: click here

Carlos' Tour of the Zoo

Went to the zoo today to help John Chua give a special tour for a kid with autism. Carlos is from cebu and is visiting Manila with his mom for a medical check up. He was also celebrating his 6th birhday today... so Happy Birthday Carlos!
