When Things Fall into Place
got a pleasant message over facebook this morning from Ma'am Linda Choy:
"Dear friends of PAVIC,
I will like to give you an update of PAVIC calendar sales.
It was only complete (waited for envelope) last Nov. 8, less than a weeks time. & the responses are overwhelming.
Thank you Canon & SM for your offer to help us sell/give us more copies. It does seem we will very soon need these additional copies.
A hotel in Cebu, was one of the first to respond. They just wanted to help. Then, their marketing manager asked to include their telephone & website in the stickers we offered to put on the cover for them.
There are 4 more sponsors, each got 50 pcs. 2 of them are doctors.
Today, I was totally surprised - got a message on fb - Judith Lesner, an american based in LA. a long time PAVIC supporter, she wants INITIAL order of 100pcs, said this is the perfect gift for her sponsors whom she always asks for gifts for PAVIC children every christmas. Our calendars are going international!
Jenifer Tsai of Aperture offered their offices as pick up points. & later said, she would write us a check. Bahala na daw sila i-dispose. What a kind act.
Dr. Alexis Reyes, said she will bring our calendars to Singapore, where she will attend an international conference. Dr. Reyes is the sister of Aly Reyes.
We showed it to one bigtime neuro surgeon our calendar, told him that the children featured are visually impaired, he went over it carefully & got up & shook our hands (Francis & I), & said, looking at the pictures "give me goosebumps".
I facebooked Ivy Mendoza & said I will send her a copy, she replied & said she would ask her staff writer to do a write up to "create more buzz".
There must be something in these wonderful captures that reach out & get the message of love & compassion across. Bravo!
Thank you for those of you who messaged me for orders of 5, 10 & 25s, & also to those for considering to use our calendar as your Christmas giveaways. Your generosity warm our hearts. Keep your orders coming before they run out of supply. (CALLING CALLING CANON PHILIPPINES!)
As our small token of appreciation, may we humbly offer to give each of you 2 copies of calendar as a souvenir. Please let us know where you will like to have them picked up.
I believe doing message on fbook is the easiet way of reaching you, but i just found out to my dismay that I have not befriended all our photographers, so pls help me forward this message of thanks & amazement.
Again, thank you every one!"
